Ralph Faulke's 36-yard field goal won the Millersburg game,
but AHS finished 6th in the NCO. However Phil Lersch and Paul
Johnson salvaged the entire season with TD's to beat Mansfield.
On Thanksgiving Day fans marched behind the city band (Heitz
Band) to Y-Field. About 3,000 paid 35-cents to see the Orange
and Black win "The" game of the year 14-6 against
"The" number one rival Mansfield. Capt. George Riggle
earned first-team All-NCO honors.
