The A's were led by nine "blue-collar," senior linemen with Mike Mowry the defensive star (127 tackles). QB Jim Thomas led come from behind victories over Mansfield Senior and Madison, as AHS remained unbeaten against Mansfield schools for the 4th straight year. The Arrow's upset bid against the State's 9th ranked Dover fell 3-yards short in the last two minutes. Jim Patterson and Joe Tobias were the top linemen on offense and Mike Mowry and Mark Morrison on defense. Jim Thomas and Danny Cooper were the top backs, and Ted Sauder the most improved. Bob Parker was the team's MVP.
