2023
Ashland coaching legend Scott Valentine returned to lead the program
after previously guiding the Arrows from 2002 through 2018.
The team lost a large senior class after the 2022 campaign, but still
wrapped its regular season with a .500 record. That was largely led
by a defense that allowed the third-fewest points in a regular season
in nearly 20 years.
Keying that group were junior DB Tyler Sauder (100 tackles, 4 INTs)
and sophomore LB Gunner Lacey (112 tackles, 10 TFLs).
On offense, senior RB Cayden Spotts (949 yards, 7 TDs on the ground)
was the go-to performer, while budding star QB Nathan Bernhard was a
full-time starter for the first time (1,777 yards, 13 TDs passing).
