2009 Summary

For the third time in four years Coach Valentine’s Arrows won the OCC and reached the Regional Finals. The MVP and First-Team All-Ohio QB Marcus Fuller, son of defensive coordinator Dan Fuller, led the highest scoring offense in AHS history.  Other offensive recognitions went to lineman: Cody Hickey and running back: Matt Dilgard.

The defense was led by 2nd Team All-Ohio Paul Baker and Anthony Deppen, who set the school career record with 396 tackles. Other team awards went to: defensive back Matt Smith and special teams Greg Gallaway, who broke the 100-year old record for extra points in a single game. Jesse Hanacek won the George Valentine Sportsmanship Award.
