It was a hard luck season because of the influenza epidemic. Only five of the scheduled nine games were played, and each week there was uncertainly about the next opponent. When the team traveled by autos to the Lorain game, the machine carrying the starting backfield broke downwith flat tires. They never arrived until the end of the game which was a 72-0 stomping. The giants for that season were Eddie Wells (168 pounds) and sophomore tackle Arthur Rybolt (165). The offense was led by Capt. Lawrence Gault and QB Paul Curry.
