Coach Allen, a Western Reserve graduate, was unable to finish half the season because of a
typhoid fever attack, and a former star of the 1910 team Paul "Spitz" Ganyard, assistant coach and YMCA director, took over the squad. Wayne McDowell provided the winning touchdowns by returning blocked punts for TDs against New London (70 yds) and Bucyrus (25 yards). Clarence Kosht started at tackle for the fifth straight year. Capt. Carl Morrow was the most versatile back. McDowell scored 4 TDs and Russell Sonnors kicked 9 Xpts.
