The AHS Arrows with a new nickname had a new coach Harry Miller, and in their pre-season scrimmage with New London their top running back Joe Sharr suffering a season ending broken ankle. They earned a pair of 7-7 ties with Madison and Marion on Dave Lersch's touchdowns and on Roger Wissler's extra points. Their two wins came on Dad's Day against Wooster and on Homecoming against Galion. Wissler had 141 of his team leading 471 yards for the season in the Galion game. Dan McBride and Jack Ebert were the standouts on defense.
